What is the horizon?
The human desire for exploration leads to discovery, but it is the competitive spirit that brings us to excellence.
AGON was born to change the games through HORUS, our project zero that broke the yacht design standard.
The challenge taken up by HORUS consisted in changing the position of the owner’s cabin which is located on the aft. At the same time, in order to satisfy privacy needs in port, HORUS is able to dock bow in. The long foredeck and the backward superstructure guarantee an innovative homecoming experience while getting on board, a feeling never achieved before.
Since then our aim has been to keep looking for new horizons to explore.
In Ancient Greek the word “agón” means “competition”, interpreted as an intellectual and creative contest.
At AGON every challenge is an inspiration, and each project is a chance for exchanging viewpoints and reaching top results.
We can’t wait to take on the next challenge!
Lorenzo Berselli grew up spending his summers sailing across the Mediterranean Sea with his family. His overwhelming passion for boats ignited in early childhood, roaming the docks and gazing at vessels and fishing boats.
After graduation he decided to turn his long-life vocation into a profession specializing in yacht design.
His career began in 2012 working in Alberto Mancini studio, initially based in Trieste later moving to Monaco. Seven-years of activity there gave him the opportunity to take part in
partnerships with both Italian and international shipyards, developing whether custom or production designs.
In 2019 he joined Luca Dini Design and Architecture studio in Florence. He increased his experience in cooperation with several shipyards, venturing to northern Europe environment and working on refitting projects. He also contributed to the architectural planning of futuristic, sustainable city called Neom in Saudi Arabia.
After 10 year career, he decided to start his own business and launched AGON.
